EXTENSION SPRINGS AND VARIABLE RATE EXTENSION SPRINGS

Constant force extension springs giving loads from 0.1kg to 12kg, with extensions up to 4000mm. Suitable for counterbalancing sash windows, stage lighting rigs, petrol signs and machine guards, they are also used for tensioning fire damper doors and clamping earth shields in cable joints, and they are in the Astay stay arm, used for supporting Caravan Locker Doors.

Extension Springs maintain the same force throughout their working extension. They can be made to give a variable force - either positive or negative. They can also be used as Compression Springs to give a constant push throughout their working travel.

Variable rate extension springs used in point of sale displays, for feeding merchandise on a display stand, and in extending arm clothes hangers.
