CLOCK TYPE
POWER SPRINGS
Clock type power springs for counterbalancing roller
shutter doors, rewinding hose reels, tape measure and electric
fencing.
Pre-formed Power Springs or Clock
Springs are usually wound into a case with the inner end fixed
to an arbour. When the arbour is rotated, and the spring 'wound-up',
torque
is produced
for up to 40 revolutions. It is also referred to as an 'S' Spring
- because of the form it takes when removed from its case. This
spring provides a flatter torque graph, and more rotations in a
given space, than the conventional Clock Spring.
